Cruelty to animals

Why are people so cruel to animals? It's just wrong, how would you like it if you were battered to death or abandoned beside the road? Well, no one would. So the world tries its best to stop this, but it still goes on around the world. Just think about the dancing bears in India, they have string stuck up their noses when they are babies and made to dance for tourists. But someone made it illegal because they cared about the animals since none of us could stand a species being extinct and so we try to help animals in any way we can.
